DIY PC Installation Procedure

Note:It would have been nice if Newegg had a Quick Reference doument for download, but could not find anything.
 This handy Check List was created by jotting down the procedure, which is fully explained in the videos.

I. EXTERNAL Build.
Quick assessment to ensure the essential components are operational.
commence by grounding hand on bare metal case, to prevent ESD (Electro Static Discharge).
1.Remove  Motherboard from its box and use the box as work base for the external build.
   a. Assemble the CPU on to the MB. Check orientation, drop into position and lock.
   b. Check CPU fan power socket on MB, position fan to suit and click into its mounting holes.
2. Check MB manual for location of Memory modules orient and push into the slots.
3. Graphic Card ( GPU) Push into PCI slot.
4. Connect power from Power supply Unit
   a. 24 Pin Main power lead into MB socket.
   b. 4 Pin supplement power lead into socket on MB.
   c. PCI-Express power lead to GPU.
5. HDMI cable from GPU to Monitor.
6. To start: Short the PWR pins on MB with screwdriver.
7. Look for fans to start and listen for 'single short  beep' before Flash screen on Monitor.
Once satisfied that the Main compentents are funtioning, the build can be dismantled by only removing the Graphic card.

II. INTERNAL BUILD
1. Check Manual for PSU( Power supply Unit) and intall into the PC case.
2. Install storage drives into the drive bays. Route Power cables to suit.
3. Check MB Mounting Holes and match positions on MB. Install standoffs to suit.
3. Clip I/O Shield into position and manoevre MB into the case and screw into place.
4. Install the Graphic Card (VDU), by removing the relevant expansion slot cover in the case.
   Ensure, its properly seated and connect the power lead from PSU
4. Connect power cables from PSU, to MB and to the Drive Units.
5. Connect Data cables from MB to Hard Drive (HDD), Optical Drive etc.
6. Connect case System fans and front panel leads to respective connectors on the MB.
   (Power On, Reset, HDD Led, Power LED, HDA(High Definition Audio) etc.
7. Connect VDU rear connector to the Monitor
8. Plug in Keyboard and Monitor.
9. Plug in Power cable and Switch On.

III SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
1. Enter Bios to set BootUp priority to Optical Drive.
2. Place Operating System CD in Drive tray and Restart.
3. Allow Operating System to install files and follow prompts.
4. Use the supplied CDs to install DriverS for MB Chipset, NIC (Network Interface Card)/LAN),    Graphics Card, Optical Drive etc.
5. Download the latests Drivers from the Relevant manufacturer websites.
